OHM (3,3) · on NEAR

The reserve
currency
of NEAR.

Stake NOHM and it rebases every epoch. Bond NEAR at a discount and it vests into NOHM. Every token is backed by a treasury of real NEAR that you can read on-chain. (3,3) is the only move.

How it works

Three moves. One of them is right.

01

Bond NEAR

Send NEAR to the treasury and receive NOHM below market price: 6.5% off over five days, or 12% off over fourteen. Your NEAR stays in the treasury and backs every token.

02

Stake NOHM

Staked NOHM becomes sNOHM. Every eight-hour epoch the index rises and your balance rises with it. Nothing to claim, nothing to compound by hand.

03

(3,3)

When everyone stakes, the index compounds for everyone. When everyone bonds, the treasury deepens for everyone. Selling is the only move that helps no one. Choose (3,3).

The treasury

Real NEAR. Read it on-chain.

The protocol treasury is a NEAR account. Every deposit is a plain NEAR transfer that the server verifies against NEAR RPC before crediting a single yoctoNEAR to your desk. The treasury balance shown on this page is read from the chain, not from a spreadsheet.

Backing per NOHM is the treasury value in dollars divided by supply. Runway is how many days the treasury can fund the current reward emission at today's price. Both numbers update live in the app.

Withdrawals are paid from a cold wallet by hand. There is no hot key on the server.

Questions people ask.

What is NEAR OHM?
An OHM-style reserve protocol on NEAR. NOHM is the token, sNOHM is the staked version that rebases, and the treasury is a NEAR account funded by bonds. The mechanism is the 2021 OlympusDAO design, run on NEAR with NEAR as the reserve asset.
Where does the yield come from?
Rebases mint new NOHM to stakers each epoch at a fixed per-epoch rate derived from the displayed APY. Bonds sell NOHM below market for NEAR, which fills the treasury. The treasury's job is to keep every NOHM backed while supply grows. The runway figure in the app tells you how long that holds at the current rate.
Is my NEAR really in the treasury?
Yes. A deposit is a NEAR transfer to the treasury account. The server reads the transaction from NEAR RPC, checks it was signed by your account, was received by the treasury and is final, and only then credits your desk. The treasury balance on this page is read from the chain.
How do I get NEAR or NOHM out?
Queue a withdrawal from your desk. NEAR withdrawals are paid by hand from a cold wallet, normally within 24 hours, and the payout hash is written next to your request. NOHM withdrawals to the chain open once the NEP-141 token is live.
Which wallets work?
Any NEAR account: MyNearWallet, Meteor, HERE, Nightly, Sender, Ledger via wallet. Connect by account id, send NEAR from the wallet you already use, and the app finds the deposit.
Can the APY fall?
Yes. The per-epoch rate is a protocol parameter, and it comes down as the staked supply grows so the treasury runway stays healthy. The number on this page is the current rate, not a promise about next month.
